  5. Let me start off by saying great photography and coordinated outfits! It is such a misnomer that modest women are "doomed" to dress poorly. I think you girls are a great example of that, thank you. As a young man, I appreciate seeing girls trying to dress tastefully yet modestly. I am honored to know several families that also practice this among their daughters so thank you for being roll models.

Of course, some posts that start with praise then segway into critique. This one is no exception, but please bear with me. I just thought it'd be prudent to share a friendly reminder that modesty can be deeper than skin exposure. That can always spiral into heated debates about why ALL apparel is okay to wear and modesty standards are silly. I'm not hear to propose that at all (as I disagree). I merely wanted to point out that even when selecting "conservative" modest standards its important to remember the image we perceive. I've seem some pretty swanky looking dresses that fully cover a woman, but it's very apparent by it's decor, fabric, and cut that it wasn't designed to be worn by a pure heart desiring to be attractive, yet modest. Like most people, I could share a handful of stories about past and current female acquaintances who have fallen prey to those sorts of clothing that eventually led to more and more compromise. One in particular that comes to mind (always the extreme cases) did go quite the opposite from her upbringing and sense of beauty. That is all. Just please continue in your journey with pure minds and hearts focusing on Jesus Christ and double check with not just peers, but also your earthly father, as well as your heavenly Father, in regards to not only what looks good, but is beautifully modest and keeps your purity glowing. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day! God bless :-)

  15. Hello from Australia! I'm really enjoying your blog, which I found via FB and you are really encouraging me to overhaul my wardrobe! I already own a few maxi skirts, which I love to wear but I find them a bit cumbersome when I take my kids to the park etc and often end up changing into jeans before we go :-( What sort of skirts & shoes would you wear for a trip to the park or a camping trip. Would love to ditch the jeans! Thankyou.
